What is Invisalign?
Invisalign uses a series of transparent, removable and comfortable aligner trays that noone can tell you are wearing. So, you can smile more during treatment, as well as after.Invisalign is made with 3-D computer imaging technology and has beenshown to be effective in certain types of cases.
Why would I want Invisalign?
Not only are the aligners transparent, they are removable, so you can eat and drink what you want during treatment. Plus, brushing and flossing are easier.Invisalign also allows you to view your own virtual treatment plan when you start, so you can see how your teeth will look when they are straight at the completion of your treatment.
How does Invisalign work?
You wear each set of aligners for about 3-4 weeks, removing them only to eat, drink,brush and floss. As you replace each set of aligners from month to month, your teeth will move--littleby little,week by week--until they have straightened to the final positions that Dr. Crump prescribed for your treatment. You will have regular appointments about once every 3-4 weekswith Dr Crump to change your aligners and to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned.Total treatment time averages 9-15 months and the average number of aligners worn during treatment ranges from 10 to 30, depending on the complexity of your case.
