Appointment Scheduling:
Most people seeking orthodontic treatment have important obligations such as school or work during the day. During active orthodontic treatment, our patients are generally seen every 4 to 6 weeks and we try to minimize conflicts with school and work schedules.
We have put a great deal of effort into designing our schedule, offering appointments from 8 - 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. We want to have sufficient time during each appointment to do the necessary treatment, give you information about your treatment or your child's treatment and answer any questions. We want to work with you around your school schedule and work hours as much as possible.
We schedule longer appointments during school hours and shorter appointments after school, which allows us to accommodate as many families as possible for appointments after school. We are very flexible with our adults' work schedules.
We realize that, at times, circumstances beyond your control can cause a conflict with your scheduled appointment. We would appreciate as much advance notice as possible of any cancellations. This will allow us to accommodate other patients and reschedule you to minimize any delays in your treatment.
Our office utilizes sophisticated computer software programs to remind our patients of their appointments. One program notifies you by telephone. The other program notifies you by e-mail. We hope these systems are a convenience for you.
Cost:
The cost of treatment depends on the severity of the patient's problem. You will be able to discuss fees and payment options before beginning treatment. We make every effort to accommodate, inform and assist our patients with financial arrangements. We provide several payment options to suit different budgets. We accept assignment from a variety of insurance plans. As a courtesy, we will file your orthodontic claim with your insurance carrier. We work hard to make orthodontics affordable and we do not want finances to stand in the way of a nice, healthy smile.
Fees:
In an effort to keep orthodontic fees down, while maintaining the highest level of professional care, we have established the following financial policy:
To fit your individual needs, financial arrangements can be made to spread your payments over the length of your treatment with monthly payments and no interest charged on the unpaid balance.
For your convenience, we accept payment by MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover. As an added bonus, we offer a fee discount if payment is made in full at the start of treatment.
OFP, Orthodontist Fee Plan, is a financing payment plan that offers payment arrangements without a down payment and monthly payments extending longer than your treatment, up to 60 months, with a competitive interest rate. The American Association of Orthodontists has endorsed OFP. You can visit their website at www.orthofeeplan.com.
Insurance:
- If you have insurance coverage for orthodontics, we will be happy to assist you in determining the amount of benefits available to you and your family. We ask that you assign your insurance benefit to us. Your payments will be arranged for you to pay over the length of treatment.
- We are eager to help you receive the maximum reimbursement from your orthodontic insurance and we will help in every way we can in filing your claim and handling insurance questions from our office on your behalf.
- Please bring all your insurance information to your initial visit so that we can process any claim.
- Orthodontic benefits are not the same as your general dental benefits. Having dental insurance does not necessarily mean that you have orthodontic benefits.
